A direct contract with KakaoPay, so buyers can pay with KakaoPay. Subscriptions take a second channel.
In the PortOne console, click 전자결제 신청 → 전자결제 직접 신청 → 간편결제 and choose 카카오페이. Have your business registration certificate, your app’s address and the details of the owner and a contact person ready.
When the contract is done, KakaoPay sends your CID, the code for your store. One-time and recurring payments get separate CIDs, so ask for both if you sell subscriptions.
Open 결제 연동 → 연동 관리 → 채널 관리. Switch the mode to 실연동, pick 카카오페이 and its payment module, and click 다음. Name the channel, enter the CID, choose 과세구분, and save.
Selling subscriptions? Add a second live channel the same way with the recurring CID, under a name you can tell apart, such as KakaoPay subscriptions.
Each channel shows in the list with its channel key, starting with channel-key-. Copy them.
In your project, open Payments → Connect → More payment methods. Paste the one-time channel key into KakaoPay channel and the recurring one into KakaoPay subscription channel, then click Connect.
Toss Payments can show KakaoPay among the wallets in its own window when your Toss contract includes it. This guide is for a direct contract with KakaoPay, which gets its own channel.
KakaoPay takes Korean won only.
