Overview

DontCode sells prepaid credits used to run AI code generation and related platform services. This page explains when and how refunds are available, in accordance with the Korean Electronic Commerce Act (์ „์ž์ƒ๊ฑฐ๋ž˜ ๋“ฑ์—์„œ์˜ ์†Œ๋น„์ž๋ณดํ˜ธ์— ๊ด€ํ•œ ๋ฒ•๋ฅ ) and Toss Payments / PortOne merchant terms.

1. Refund Eligibility

Unused Credits

Purchased credits that have not been used may be refunded in full within 7 days of purchase, in accordance with Article 17 of the Electronic Commerce Act.

Partially Used Credits

If you have used part of the purchased credit balance, the refundable amount is the unused portion, calculated at the original purchase unit price (KRW per credit). Consumed credits are non-refundable as the corresponding AI computation and services have already been rendered.

Service Failures

If credits were deducted due to a verified platform error, system outage, or failed AI generation attributable to DontCode, we will restore the credits at no cost or refund them in full upon request.

2. Non-Refundable Cases

  • Credits that have already been consumed by AI generation, deployment, or other platform services
  • Refund requests made more than 7 days after the purchase date, for purchases where credits have been partially or fully consumed
  • Purchases made using promotional codes, signup bonuses, referral credits, or other non-cash credit grants (these have no monetary value)
  • Purchases where there is clear evidence of fraud, abuse, or violation of our Terms of Service

3. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted via email to our support team. Include your account email, the payment ID or receipt number, the amount requested, and the reason for the refund.

4. Refund Processing Timeline

  • Refund requests are reviewed within 3 business days of receipt
  • Approved credit card refunds are reversed to the original payment method within 3โ€“7 business days, depending on the card issuer
  • Approved bank transfer and virtual account refunds are processed within 3 business days to the account provided by the customer
  • KakaoPay, NaverPay, and other easy-pay refunds typically complete within 1โ€“3 business days via the original payment channel
  • International PayPal refunds complete within 5โ€“10 business days

5. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe a charge on your account is incorrect or unauthorized, please contact us first so we can resolve the issue quickly. If you file a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting us, your account may be temporarily suspended pending resolution. We cooperate fully with card issuer investigations.

6. Consumer Protection

Korean consumers are protected under the Electronic Commerce Act (์ „์ž์ƒ๊ฑฐ๋ž˜๋ฒ•), which provides the right to withdraw from a contract within 7 days of purchase, subject to statutory exceptions for digital goods that have been used or consumed. DontCode honors these rights in full for the unused portion of purchased credits.
