API keys for your own code
Built your app yourself? Create a secret key for it on this page and copy the two lines it gives you into your app's settings, and your app can use DontCode's sign-in, database, files, email and payments. Each key is shown once, you can see when each one was last used, and you can switch a key off instantly if it ever leaks. For Backend Projects.
Where to enable it
Find it in your project editor. No code required.
Inside the editor, head to Keys.

Linking your GitHub repository
Note which GitHub repository holds your app's code, so anyone on your team can find it from the project. Linking only records where the code lives: nothing in your repository changes, and you can change or remove the link any time. Each repository belongs to one project. For Backend Projects.
Integration credentials (encrypted env vars)
Store the login keys for your outside services (keys, secrets, tokens). They're encrypted the moment you add them and can never be read back as plain text. Your live app uses them securely, without the keys ever appearing in your code.
