Invite-only beta with a waitlist
People join a waitlist on your landing page; you let them in a batch at a time, each invite arriving with the right role already set, and a welcome on the way in.
The problem this solves
Opening the doors to everyone at once means bugs in front of strangers and a support queue you can't keep up with. A waitlist builds anticipation and lets you grow at a pace you can handle.
What you end up with
Sign-up becomes invite-only. Your landing page collects names and emails into a waitlist you see in order. Pick ten, press invite, and each gets an email with a link to finish signing up, already holding the role you chose. Everyone else gets a short note that they're on the list.
How it works
- Sign-up is switched to invite-only.
- Your landing page gets a waitlist form, and each person gets a 'you're on the list' email.
- A page only you open shows the waitlist in order, with when each person joined.
- Pick people and press invite: each gets a link to finish signing up, with their role set.
- Once they are in, a welcome email says what to try first.
Build this in your app
Insight asks a few questions first, so it fits your app.
Built from
Signup rules & access control
AuthenticationDecide who can join your app: anyone, only people you invite, or only addresses from your company. You can require people to confirm their email first and block addresses you never want. Fake and throwaway addresses are turned away for you, and a likely typo gets a suggested fix. Some of these controls, and how many people your app can hold, depend on your plan.
Inviting end-users to your app
AuthenticationLet a specific person in, even when sign-up is closed: add their email, pick their role and how long the invite lasts, then let them know. When they sign up with that email they get in with the role you chose. You can also create an account for someone yourself.
User roles & custom claims
AuthenticationSort the people in your app into roles, such as customer, staff or admin, so each one sees and does only what fits. Pick the role new people get, decide which roles people can choose themselves, and store extra details like a company name on every account. Having more than one role depends on your plan.
Forms
App servicesNeed a contact form, a booking form or a survey? Describe the fields and the page it belongs on, and Insight builds it. Submissions are saved in your database, where you can browse them, and you can get an email each time someone sends one.
Transactional email
Email & pushEmail just works. Your app already sends sign-up codes, password resets and payment receipts, and any email your features need, like an order confirmation or a weekly summary, is added for you. There is no mail server to set up, and if your app speaks more than one language, each customer gets their emails in theirs. The Emails page shows what was sent and lets you put your brand on customer emails. If an address bounces, your app stops emailing it, marks that person on the Users page, and lets you send to them again once they fix it.
