A free trial that ends gracefully
New users get your paid features free for a set number of days, a reminder before it ends, and then the free plan. Never a surprise charge.
The problem this solves
A trial that charges without warning earns refunds and angry reviews; a trial that ends silently loses the people who meant to upgrade. The fix is simple: say when it ends, show what they'll keep, make upgrading one tap.
What you end up with
Each new user starts a 14-day trial with your paid features on. Three days before the end they get an email with what they've used and an upgrade button; on the last day, a short note. Then they're on the free plan, with their work kept.
How it works
- A new user starts a free trial of your paid plan, no card needed.
- Every morning, the app checks whose trial ends soon.
- Three days before the end: an email with what they've used and a button to upgrade.
- On the last day: a short note that the trial ends tonight.
- Afterwards they're on the free plan with nothing lost, and upgrading is one tap.
Build this in your app
Insight asks a few questions first, so it fits your app.
Built from
Subscription plans (Free, Pro, Enterprise, ...)
PaymentsSet up the plans your customers subscribe to, like Free, Pro or Team, each with its price in won or US dollars and a weekly, monthly or yearly cycle. Tell Insight what you want to charge, and it keeps the plans the same everywhere your app uses them.
Feature catalog & entitlements
PaymentsDecide what each plan unlocks, like unlimited uploads or advanced reports, with limits per plan. Tell Insight, and your app shows or holds back those features based on each customer's plan.
Subscription management & comping
PaymentsSee your customers' subscriptions on the Subscriptions tab of Payments: who, how often, how much, since when, and the status. Customers cancel from inside your app, and refunds happen there too; ask Insight to add those buttons. You can also give someone a free subscription, for a trial or a partner, by asking Insight.
Scheduled jobs (cron)
Scheduled jobsMake something happen on a schedule: every hour, every Monday morning, the first of the month. Pick when in your own time, say what should happen in plain words, and DontCode writes and runs it for you.
Transactional email
Email & pushEmail just works. Your app already sends sign-up codes, password resets and payment receipts, and any email your features need, like an order confirmation or a weekly summary, is added for you. There is no mail server to set up, and if your app speaks more than one language, each customer gets their emails in theirs. The Emails page shows what was sent and lets you put your brand on customer emails. If an address bounces, your app stops emailing it, marks that person on the Users page, and lets you send to them again once they fix it.

Upgrade nudge at the plan limit
When someone on the free plan reaches its limit (projects, uploads, messages), they see what the next plan gives them, with an upgrade button right there, and get one email about it, not ten.
Win back people who cancel
When someone cancels or their plan ends, ask why with one tap and give them a reason to stay. One gentle follow-up later, then nothing. Your app already sends the renewal and payment emails; this picks up where those stop.
Invite-only beta with a waitlist
People join a waitlist on your landing page; you let them in a batch at a time, each invite arriving with the right role already set, and a welcome on the way in.
