How the editor tunes itself to you
You can tell DontCode two things about yourself: who you usually build for, and how you would describe your own background. The editor then may add one shortcut to the "Start here" list at the top of your project menu (the rest of that list follows your role on the project), adjusts how much it explains as you go, and orders templates to suit you. Both questions are optional and you can change your answers at any time.
Details
Nothing here is required, and no feature is ever taken away based on an answer. Your answers only change the order of things, what gets pinned, and the wording you see. If an answer is wrong, the order looks slightly off; nothing disappears. Each project also carries three things read from the plan you wrote when you created it: what kind of project it is, whether it charges money, and who it serves. The editor shows you what it read on a card you can correct in one click.
Where to enable it
Find it in your project editor. No code required.
This capability runs platform-wide; no specific settings route.

Changing what we know about you
Open the Personalization section of your profile page to change any answer. Each change saves the moment you make it, and you can switch an answer back to "prefer not to say" and back again as often as you like.
Turning personalization off
The Personalization section of your profile page has a "Remove all of my answers" button. After that the editor works exactly as it does for someone who never answered: Start here shows only what your role suggests, standard wording, standard template order. Declining never limits what you can do or build.
